This system allows authorized users to maintain a blog. Blogs are a series of posts that are time stamped and are typically viewed by date as you would view a journal.
There is a blogs navigation link on the main menu (in the purple section at the top), which takes a visitor to a page that displays the most recent blog entries from all the users on the site. For authorized users, the navigation menu has a Create new blog entry link (which takes the user to a page with a link to a submission form).
You may add a summary to your blog post; this is what will be displayed on the front page and the blog page. This is especially important if you have a long post.
See the image below for more details.
Note that the blog post itself goes in the bottom half, and the summary (what appears on the main page) appears in the top half. If you leave the summary blank, the entire post will appear in the summary; if you leave the blog post blank, a blank post will appear when people click on Read More.
To add an image or video, use the appropriate button below, as described elsewhere in this help book.
You should preview your post at least once before saving it. This will give the Smileys a chance to load, and will give you an idea of how it will look.
To access your blog, the address is of the form http://aimable-c.at/blog/%n where %n is your user number. You can determine your user number either by using the My Account link in the right side of the header or footer, or by accessing your user profile from a post or comment you have made -- click on your user name, and you will be taken to http://aimable-c.at/user/%n . There is also a link to the author's blog at the bottom of each blog post.
