Boom!

Tonight they're setting off the fireworks in our town.

I don't like it. It's much too loud.

Fortunately, the human decided to close the windows and turn on the air conditioning. I'm hiding at the other end of the house.

He tells me he can't see the pretty part of the fireworks because the big building is in the way, but he can see the clouds turn red or blue from the lights.

UPDATE: we thought the bootleg fireworks were done, so about midnight we opened the windows and went to bed. They weren't, so I had to run and hide again. It was after 1:00 when we finally tried again. I wasn't so sure, so I hid under the bed for a little bit first.
