The next general area to consider is how the veterinarian works with cats. Does the vet clinic specialize in cats? Are they a cat only clinic? Is there one vet in a larger clinic who treats only cats, or is their resident cat expert? (This will tie in to some of the later topics.) Do they know how cats are different from dogs? Do they view cats as something that they have to treat in order to bring in the dog (or large animal) business, like some college students who only take a history course to get their degree? Do any cats live freely at the clinic, whether inside the clinic, or outside (or both) ? Do they share, or at least accept, your views on inside/outside cats?
