I spent most of last week, and some of the week before, at the farm.
First he packed me up and got me into the car. We didn't have our usual stop for human foood and the trip into the pet store so he could use the rest room, but he did find a pet store for that.
Then he took me down and dropped me off at a vet's office. It was nice to get out of the carrier for a little bit. Then he picked me up and took me for another ride, and we wound up at the farm.
He let me out a couple of times to explore, and let me explore parts of that little room that I had not visited before. That closet has a top shelf, but there isn't much to see, and it isn't as comfortable as the top closet shelfves I'm used to. I saw the house cats; the big cat swatted me with a declawed paw, and the little cat growled at me. He helped me up to a window, and I found my way to the top of the cubbards. He helped me down from there, and even picked me up from up there when he used a stepstoool. Even when he let me out, I didn't get to do all the things I do at home. Something about it not being his furniture.
I didn't get to see my mother. The trip home was about what it usually is. He stopped for food twice (not altogether unusual), and took me into the pet store at the second stop. He pulled over to the side of the road to take a phone call after we got off the interstate for a bit. He then seemed to make another call before he got started. Then we got home, he made sure my litter box was clean, and then he let me out and fed me.
