My vets office had some ideas on how to get an unwilling cat to the vets.
I don't know why house cats would not like to come to the vet. I like living at the vet. Well, sometimes I don't like being cooped up like we sometimes are.
The tech suggested that humans should get the cat used to the carrier, so it's not something that is only seen before a bad trip. If that carrier is no good, try a different kind, or a pillow case. Spray the carrier with a feliway-type spray, or put nice things like calming collars, toys, or even food in the carrier. Some tranquilizers can be used before the trip (remember those, Seshat?).
They also recommend a fear-free clinic that uses low stress handling. Of course sometimes there isn't much you can do if there's a big dog who has an apppoint ment.

Thanks!
Those are good ideas, I'll have to get meowmy to take note. We have Feliway, that's good stuff My favorite treat is still fresh grass when she brings some home, I do miss being outside eating it but I don't miss fights or scary dogs and cars!
Mol My Queen, I've never tasted vet before. I usually just hide in meowmy's arms with my face under her arm so they can't see me

I'm only a year old so I've
I'm only a year old so I've only been to the vet once and it was a mobile vet that handles spay/neuter and all your shots for 80 bucks, Daddy says that a really good deal! I sang the song of my people the whole way there, but I didn't sing at all on the way back because I was pretty out of it MOL

fixed
Parker and I went to a low-cost spay & neuter place. We went with Inky and Truffles and we all got a rabies shot, too. Parker started singing when it was about time for breakfast, but we rested on the way back. I peed in the carrier after the operation.

We have a lady Vet
I sort of like our lady Vet but I don't like getting shots. I do not remember much about being spayed because that happened in SC long before I came to live with mommy here in Montana.

Shots
My brofur Pablo is diabetic so meowmy has to give him shots twice a day. He's so good about it though and even lets her know if she forgets, he knows they're good for him He's much braver than me!
