Thoughts and Prayer for August 4, 2015

We had a good day, but it is time for bed now.

You know, it is really important, to take time to stop and listen to the purrs of a cat or pet the cat or dog. It is good for your health you know. And a cat's purr can be so expressive, so pleasing, so calming. So take a moment to pet a cat and listen to it purr, or pet a dog and just enjoy its company. And if you don't have a cat to pet or listen to its purring, then click the link at the bottom of this post and listen to this lovely kitty's purring. You won't be sorry.

Prayer time:

Dear Heavenly Father, please look after our family, friends and even strangers, human and animal. Please give them support, by providing guidance and wisdom daily and comfort, strength and courage when needed.
Please help the homeless, humans and animals, please help them find safe and loving homes, families all their own. Everyone should have loving family and safe home.
Please help those lost, please help them find their way home, their families love and miss them very much and please keep them safe until they are reunited.
Please help those suffering illness and loss, there are so many, too many to name, but we know that you know who they are. Please comfort and strengthen them and their families. They need your comforting arms.
Please help those suffering in other ways, financial, emotional and mentally; they all need you at this difficult time, so please comfort and strengthen them and help them all to overcome whatever they're going through.
Thank you Father for the compassionate humans that work daily helping others; they make a difference, they really do. Bless them for their caring so much.
Thank you for the men and women in uniform, be they military or police. They risk their lives daily and rarely and rarely at "thank you" do they get. Thank you too for the firefighters that are fighting the wildfires across the western states, they are working hard to help save homes, homes of humans and homes of animals. Keep them safe please.
Those that do not show respect and consideration, please help them to realize that the respect and consideration they want is the same respect and consideration they should be giving to others.
Thank you for those we love and that love us back and thank you too for everything we have, because so many have lost so much, we are truly blessed.
With gentleness, Father, please teach us patience, compassion, understanding and tolerance. Please help us to be less judgmental too, help us to remember that no one is perfect.
Please forgive us when we offend and help us to be more forgiving to others that offend us.
And most importantly, please Father, more true love, the love that never fails, the love that heals the spirit, because without that love, there is no beauty, goodness and no light. AMEN.

Now to bed we go; we wish you a peaceful night's sleep, with beautiful and sweet dreams. Then when you wake, remember to stretch like a cat and start your day with a smile. Smiles are contagious, so go out and contaminate as many as you can.
